As you probably realized from my website, I’m not a typical CPA. I’m a rebel.

I don’t like paying taxes any more than you do.So I work hard to take advantage of every legal loophole in the tax code and pay the least amount of tax. And I do that for every one of my clients, as well.

That’s what separates me from the crowd of other CPAs. They’re not my competition anyway…the governmental taxing authorities are. My passion is helping individuals and small business owners minimize the taxes they are paying.

I’m K. W. “Hutch” Hutchinson, a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner™, and IRS registered tax preparer. To learn more about each of those, click on the links below:

I graduated from Utah State University on an academic scholarship, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

I have over 47 years of financial experience in tax planning and tax preparation; business evaluation and consultation; and financial planning, Additionally, I have been Chief Financial Officer for a number of corporations, ranging from startups to publicly held companies.

I worked in the tax departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young, both “Big 4” international CPA firms. I started my own CPA firm, K. W. Hutchinson, CPA, CFP^®, in 1978 which serves individuals, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs.

I’m an Eagle Scout and a certified trainer, with my wife, for Precept Ministries International.

I also serve as the Treasurer for DANCE, a non-profit organization to help publicize how ballroom dancing can help with Alzheimer’s disease.
